About Accion Advisory:
The Accion Advisory team combines decades of on-the-ground experience with insights into new technologies to help our partners become more sustainable and scalable. We work with a variety of organizations focused on serving the financial needs of low-income people and businesses in emerging markets. With a presence in Africa, Asia, and the Americas, our team provides strategic and operational support to strengthen our partners and maximize their impact on underserved customers.
Our team is comprised of Regional Program Managers (RPMs) and their teams who are responsible for driving new business, bringing local context and hands on experience to meet customer needs; and Practice Area Leads who are technical area experts responsible for building the Advisory team's expertise in core areas, driving execution excellence, and capturing synergies across technical practice areas and regions. The Practice Area Leads seek to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the execution of our engagements and to develop reusable tools and collateral for specific areas of expertise that Accion Advisory brings to all of our clients.
Position Summary
The Senior Manager, will lead strategic initiatives that drive digital transformation and innovation for financial service providers across Latin America. This role combines project delivery, business development, and team capability building to design and implement solutions that address the needs of underserved populations and solve internal operational challenges.
Acting as a trusted advisor, the Senior Manager leverages Human-Centered Design (HCD), industry expertise, and proven methodologies to create impactful products and services that advance financial inclusion. These initiatives include digital product development, data analytics, process automation, and AI-driven solutions that improve end-customer experience and expand outreach. The Senior Manager also partners with clients to implement these innovative solutions, ensuring they deliver measurable impact and align with strategic objectives.
Positions Responsibilities
Project Delivery
Combine HCD principles, industry expertise, and emerging technologies to create impactful solutions for underserved populations.
Partner with clients to implement innovative solutions, including AI technologies-that improve end-customer experience and expand outreach.
Lead the execution of digital transformation and product development projects that solve internal operational challenges and client-facing needs, ensuring alignment with market trends and strategic objectives.
Projects may include:
Digital product development (designing customer-centric financial solutions).
Data analytics initiatives to improve decision-making and customer insights.
Process automation to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Capacity-building programs that integrate Human-Centered Design (HCD) and innovation methodologies for industry partners.
Business Development & Client Engagement
Build and strengthen relationships with clients and strategic partners, acting as a trusted advisor.
Identify client needs and propose innovative solutions that create measurable impact.
Support proposal development, business model analysis, and strategic partnership opportunities across the region.
Actively contributes to regional strategy and leadership initiatives, identifying opportunities for collaboration and growth.
Team Development & Knowledge transfer
Bring consulting expertise to integrate project management best practices and proven methodologies into the team's work.
Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the advisory team.
Position Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or related fields.
10+ years of experience in consulting, leading Digital Transformation, Innovation, and Financial Services projects.
Minimum of 3 years managing multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.
Expertise in Human-Centered Design (HCD) and product development methodologies.
Strong knowledge of Financial Services and Financial Inclusion, preferably in Latin America.
Proven experience in stakeholder management and client engagement at senior levels.
Skilled in facilitating workshops, focus groups, and sessions with C-level executives and diverse organizational levels.
Hands-on experience with technological processes, digital transformation, innovation, and AI applications.
Excellent analytical skills, strategic thinking, and results-driven mindset.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Advanced English. Spoken and written is needed.
