Why This Moment Matters
The Department of Radiation Oncology at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center and Case Western Reserve University is experiencing one of the most exciting growth trajectories in academic radiation oncology in North America. Over the past five years, we have doubled clinical volume, expanded aggressively across Northeast Ohio, and made transformative investments in technology, people, research infrastructure, and culture.
This is not incremental growth. This is intentional reinvention.
With continued institutional commitment, national visibility, and a culture that prizes innovation and collaboration, we are actively recruiting four new faculty members to join us now—each with the opportunity to shape the future of our department at a defining moment.
A Culture Built for People, Not Just Productivity
Our department has made a deliberate choice to value people holistically.
A compensation model that recognizes impact, leadership, innovation, and academic contribution—not just wRVUs
Genuine flexibility in clinical vs. academic effort, tailored to individual strengths
A collaborative, team-first culture that rejects silos and status quo thinking
This is a department where growth is shared, leadership is developed, and excellence is expected—but supported.
