Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your responsibilities will encompass:

• Conducting Group Therapy Sessions: Facilitate dynamic and engaging group therapy sessions that foster community, shared learning, and mutual support among clients.
• Providing Individual Therapy: Deliver compassionate and individualized counseling sessions aimed at helping clients unpack their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to develop effective coping skills and actionable plans.
• Developing Treatment Plans: Collaborate closely with clients to create personalized, goal-oriented treatment plans tailored to their unique needs, aspirations, and therapeutic objectives.
• Monitoring Progress: Evaluate and track client progress and treatment outcomes using various assessment methodologies and consistent feedback loops, ensuring clarity and direction in their therapeutic journey.
• Collaborative Care: Work in tandem with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and healthcare providers, ensuring coordinated approaches to treatment and comprehensive support for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary client population consists of teens and young adults aged 18 to 30, who seek support for a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and more. This role is critical in not only providing therapeutic support but also in instilling hope and motivation for recovery.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A current and valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential in Virginia.
• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree is preferred.
