Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments for students, integrating feedback from teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to address a variety of mental health issues affecting students.
- Regularly document clinical notes and maintain accurate patient records using secure electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes educators, school counselors, and healthcare professionals to provide holistic support for students.
- Facilitate educational workshops and support groups for students and families to promote mental health awareness and reduction of stigma.
- Engage in continuous professional development by attending relevant training sessions, workshops, and conferences to enhance your skills and knowledge base.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The focus of our services is primarily on children and adolescents who face various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma-related concerns. Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- A valid and active License as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Virginia.
- In-depth knowledge of various therapeutic modalities, particularly in school settings.
- A solid foundation in understanding child and adolescent development, along with the ability to assess and intervene effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate interactions with students, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
