Calm Body Innovative Fitness & Rehab is seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team in Fairfax, Virginia. In this role, you will play a vital part in the recovery and rehabilitation of patients, employing your expertise to develop and implement personalized treatment plans. Our competitive salary range for this position is USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, reflective of your experience and contributions to patient care.

Work Environment

The Physical Therapist position is an onsite role within our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in Fairfax, Virginia. You will work alongside a collaborative team of healthcare professionals who are committed to delivering high-quality rehabilitation services to our diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive physical therapy treatment focused on preventing disabilities, relieving pain, enhancing muscle function, and maintaining performance according to individualized care plans.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) to ensure effective implementation of therapy services and adherence to care plans.
• Conduct thorough evaluations using diagnostic tests to assess clients' muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities.
• Assess patient environments and propose modifications to foster independence and promote effective rehabilitation outcomes.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and utilize physical agents as prescribed by the referring physician.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust orthotic and prosthetic devices, providing recommendations on modifications when necessary.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaboratively develop and evaluate treatment plans for client care.
• Consult with patients and their families about care strategies, rehabilitation goals, and progression of the treatment plan.
• Document clinical notes and administrative details punctually, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Conduct functional assessments at the client's location to ensure that the prescribed care plans align with their environment and needs.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned to enhance the overall effectiveness of the rehabilitation team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse clientele, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. Each day will involve interacting with patients of varying ages and backgrounds, tailoring your approach to meet their unique rehabilitation goals. Your role is crucial in fostering motivation and instilling confidence in clients as they embark on their healing journeys.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is highly preferred.
• A minimum of one year of professional experience as a physical therapist in a clinical setting, such as acute care or home health.
• Current State Physical Therapy licensure in good standing; CPR certification is mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to think critically and make informed decisions in complex situations and a commitment to patient-centered care.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to facilitate patient and family engagement and collaboration with colleagues.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on maintaining patient records and complying with regulatory expectations.
• A passion for clinical excellence and a commitment to professional development and lifelong learning.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in outpatient rehabilitation settings or familiarity with interdisciplinary team approaches is advantageous.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and documentation practices is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education.
