Work Environment
The work setting is onsite, ensuring active collaboration and interaction with both patients and colleagues. You will be joining a close-knit team that includes two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), working collectively to ensure effective treatment and optimal outcomes. Key Responsibilities
As a Licensed Physical Therapist, your role will include a variety of responsibilities centered around patient care, including:
- Conducting thorough evaluations to identify patients' objectives, assisting them in improving their physical health and mobility.
- Managing your schedule to see one patient per hour, ensuring focused and dedicated treatment sessions.
- Designing and implementing comprehensive care plans that reflect diverse treatment techniques tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
- Delivering cost-effective treatments aimed at enhancing movement functionality and minimizing reliance on medications or surgical interventions.
- Utilizing evidence-based practices to motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, promoting adherence to treatment protocols.
- Assessing patient progress on a continuous basis, maintaining meticulous documentation of services rendered and outcomes achieved.
- Fostering collaborative relationships with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and address holistic health needs.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will primarily work with patients who possess private medical insurance, contributing to a diverse and often complex patient population. You will engage with individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and various musculoskeletal conditions, providing the personalized attention necessary to help them regain their independence and confidence.
Qualifications
To qualify for this opportunity, candidates must possess the following:
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
- Current certification and valid license as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
- A clean record, free from board actions or disciplinary measures related to licensure.
- Proven competence in manual therapy techniques tailored for rehabilitation settings.
- Experience in developing and implementing effective exercise regimens for a varied patient demographic.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, for streamlined documentation and patient management.
Preferred Experience
While not strictly required, preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience in orthopedic outpatient environments, particularly those who have worked with sports medicine. Candidates who demonstrate a deeply rooted commitment to continued learning and professional development will be especially valued.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
