TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is actively seeking a dedicated Licensed Physical Therapist to join our team in Newark, New Jersey. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in guiding patients on their journey to regain mobility and achieve optimal functionality. Your contributions will significantly enhance the quality of life for our patients, ensuring they receive comprehensive care that focuses on prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.

Our practice is designed with the patient's needs in mind, featuring a modern, 5000 square foot sports medicine facility complete with advanced rehabilitation equipment. As a predominantly outpatient orthopedic practice, we focus on delivering care to individuals covered by private medical insurance, always striving to ensure each patient receives tailored and effective treatments.

Work Environment

The position is full-time and located onsite at our Newark facility. You will be joining a collaborative team of two licensed physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, all of whom are committed to innovative and evidence-based practices. Our work week is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life commitment. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patient goals and specific needs, crafting individualized treatment plans accordingly.
• Manage a patient caseload effectively, typically seeing one patient per hour to ensure focused, personalized care.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques aimed at improving patients' mobility and restoring their range of motion, ensuring a cost-effective approach.
• Work towards reducing dependence on medications and surgical interventions through rehabilitation and therapeutic exercises.
• Design and implement tailored fitness and wellness programs that address the unique circumstances of each patient.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient care and treatment protocols to comply with regulatory standards and facilitate patient progress tracking.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient therapy.
• Continuously evaluate treatment outcomes, monitoring patient progress with adjustments made as necessary for optimal results.
• Motivate patients by providing encouragement and support throughout their rehab journey, enhancing both physical and mental well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on orthopedic patients requiring rehabilitation after surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. You will work with a diverse patient population, tailoring treatment approaches for athletes, individuals recovering from surgery, and those managing long-term conditions affecting their mobility. Your role will be pivotal in educating patients about lifestyle changes and physical wellness practices that promote longevity and functionality.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or an equivalent field.
• Must possess a valid Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey.
• Maintain a clean professional record, free from disciplinary actions or board issues.
• Strong proficiency and experience in manual therapy techniques to optimize patient outcomes.
• Skilled in developing comprehensive exercise protocols suited to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, especially WebPT, to manage patient care documentation effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to foster positive relationships with patients, showing empathy and support throughout treatment.
• Experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
