Key Responsibilities
As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Zeiders Wellness Clinic, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Group Therapy Facilitation: Lead engaging and supportive group therapy sessions that foster connections among young adults, allowing for shared experiences and learning.
- Individual Counseling: Provide personalized and empathetic support to clients, guiding them through their emotional challenges while helping them develop effective coping strategies and actionable treatment plans.
- Treatment Planning: Collaborate closely with clients to create tailored, goal-oriented treatment plans that cater to their unique needs, wishes, and circumstances.
- Progress Monitoring: Continuously assess and document clients' progress using various evidence-based assessment tools, providing feedback to inform treatment adjustments.
- Team Coordination: Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of professionals, ensuring consistency in care, regular communication, and consultations on complex cases.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your work will primarily revolve around young adults aged 18 to 30 in our outpatient treatment programs. This population often faces diverse and sometimes overlapping mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related issues. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping clients overcome obstacles, regain control over their lives, and develop healthier coping mechanisms.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Washington.
- Demonstrated understanding of evidence-based treatment modalities and holistic approaches to mental health care.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with clients, families, and colleagues.
Preferred Experience
While not mandatory, experience in a community health clinic setting or working with similar client populations is highly desirable. Familiarity with treatment methods specific to young adults, including group therapy techniques, will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
Compensation and Benefits
Zeiders Wellness Clinic offers a competitive salary range of USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
