Work Environment

This position is based onsite in our outpatient office located in Syracuse, NY, where you will be surrounded by supportive colleagues and a nurturing environment. Our clinic operates Monday through Saturday, offering flexible scheduling options between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM. This structure allows you to provide care while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive consultations with patients to assess their health concerns, medical history, and treatment objectives, ensuring a thorough understanding of each individual.
• Develop tailored treatment plans that may include acupuncture, herbal remedies, cupping therapy, and lifestyle modifications, aimed at achieving optimal health results.
• Administer acupuncture by inserting needles at specific points, adjusting the depth and technique based on patient responses to facilitate healing and pain relief.
• Provide patients with practical lifestyle and dietary advice that promotes their overall well-being, fostering long-term healthy habits.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including physicians, physical therapists, and chiropractors, to deliver coordinated patient-centered care.
• Document patient interactions meticulously, recording treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes to support continuity of care and ongoing evaluation.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified and licensed Acupuncturist eligible to practice in New York State.
• Proficient in the principles and techniques of Traditional Chinese Medicine, including in-depth knowledge of acupuncture points and treatment protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with patients, along with excellent communication skills to explain treatment plans effectively.
• Possess a strong empathetic and patient-centered approach to care, prioritizing the needs and concerns of patients.
• Commitment to professional development, with a desire to stay current with advancements in acupuncture and holistic health practices.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a clinical setting with knowledge of integrative healthcare workflows.
• Previous involvement in patient education around lifestyle changes and nutrition, particularly in relation to TCM.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient patient documentation.

Compensation and Benefits
