Work Environment
This remote position allows for a flexible work-life balance while enabling you to reach out to clients from the comfort of their homes. You have the option of engaging clients through teletherapy or, depending on individual needs, conducting sessions in-office at our community health clinic. Our innovative therapist dashboard streamlines session management and minimizes paperwork, allowing you to focus on building relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to fully understand the mental health status and unique needs of clients, ensuring a tailored approach to therapy.
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans that align with clients' personal goals and foster their overall wellness, utilizing various therapeutic modalities.
- Deliver high-quality individual therapy sessions to adult clients, employing evidence-based practices and solution-focused methodologies to stimulate positive behavioral changes.
- Provide teletherapy services, ensuring accessibility for clients who may have transportation challenges, thus guaranteeing continuity in care.
- Respond effectively to crisis situations by offering immediate interventions that reflect compassion and professionalism, facilitating timely support to those in distress.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, such as workshops and training, to remain current on mental health best practices and contribute to the overall effectiveness of our team.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The primary client population consists of adults facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Therapists are expected to create a safe and non-judgmental space that encourages open communication and fosters healing.
Qualifications
- A valid and current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
- A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is essential.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are needed to form meaningful connections with clients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- A compassionate and empathetic demeanor, alongside a non-judgmental approach, is crucial for supporting clients throughout their therapeutic journeys.
- Strong organizational skills and time management capabilities are important to maintain and effectively manage caseloads and associated administrative tasks.
- A clean disciplinary record with the licensing board is mandatory to ensure the highest ethical standards in practice.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with teletherapy and a strong comfort level with virtual counseling platforms is advantageous.
- A background in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care practices enhances understanding in managing clients experiencing acute distress.
- Previous involvement in group therapy facilitation or workshops can be a plus, providing additional avenues for client engagement and support.
