Work Environment
This position is primarily onsite, allowing for direct interaction with patients in their homes. The work environment is collaborative, characterized by a focus on team-based care, where therapists consult with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, including a comprehensive review of pertinent medical histories, physical assessments, and appropriate diagnostic measures to guide treatment recommendations.
- Communicate evaluation results and the treatment plan clearly to patients and their families, actively involving them in goal-setting and decision-making processes.
- Implement proven treatment protocols tailored to individual patient needs and continually adapt these protocols based on evolving patient conditions and advancements in healthcare practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, including initial evaluations, daily encounter notes, progress summaries, and discharge evaluations, to ensure compliance and clarity in care delivery.
- Demonstrate effective time management skills while meeting productivity expectations, ensuring that patient schedules are maintained accurately and timely meetings are prioritized.
- Participate actively in collaborative marketing initiatives to promote access to care and services within the community.
- Take responsibility for ongoing professional growth by pursuing and directing continuing education opportunities that bolster competence and skill in physical therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The primary focus of this role lies in working with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, chronic illnesses, and degenerative conditions. You will have the chance to create personalized rehabilitation programs that are sensitive to the unique circumstances and challenges faced by each patient, fostering healing and mobility.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- A valid Physical Therapist License as required for practice in Florida.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
- While prior work experience is not mandatory, a passion for helping others and a commitment to patient-centered care are essential.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in home health care or outpatient therapy settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with documentation and medical software systems that facilitate patient management and care coordination.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this role ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package. Our benefits include:
