Med Fit Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in Stafford, Virginia. As a crucial member of our outpatient clinic, you will be responsible for providing personalized therapy to patients seeking to improve their mobility and enhance their quality of life. This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 based on experience.

Work Environment

This position will be conducted onsite, helping patients in a comfortable and well-equipped outpatient clinic setting. With a focus on home care, our therapy programs are tailored to meet the individual needs of patients in a supportive, nurturing atmosphere. Our work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, individualized patient care by assessing their unique goals and needs to develop effective treatment programs.
• Maintain a manageable caseload to ensure that each patient receives focused attention and support throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Utilize advanced knowledge in orthopedic outpatient care to design and deliver effective treatment modalities.
• Integrate cost-effective treatment approaches aimed at enhancing patients' motion and mobility while prioritizing non-surgical interventions.
• Create and implement comprehensive care plans that employ a variety of evidence-based treatment techniques tailored to individual patients.
• Motivate patients and empower them through education about fitness and wellness, promoting healthy lifestyle changes focused on strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Continuously monitor treatment progress and outcomes while adjusting therapies as needed to optimize patient responses.
• Document services accurately using EMR systems, particularly Web PT, ensuring clarity and comprehensive records for all care provided.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to enhance the overall patient care experience.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse set of patients ranging from athletes recovering from sports injuries to those seeking rehabilitation following surgeries or chronic conditions. By focusing on personalized assessments and tailored treatment plans, you will play a significant role in aiding patients in achieving their personal health goals and recovering their independence.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program is required for this role.
• An active Physical Therapist license in Virginia is essential, with a clean professional record free of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Exceptional skills in manual therapy techniques and a proven track record in developing successful exercise programs for patients.
• Proficient use of EMR software, with preference given to experience with Web PT for meticulous documentation and patient management.
• A strong commitment to staying updated with current best practices in physical therapy supported by the latest research.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in outpatient clinics, particularly within a home care setting, will be advantageous.
• Experience with sports rehab and a track record of successfully working with athletes are preferred but not mandatory.
• Hands-on experience in community engagement or educational outreach initiatives related to health and wellness.
