Work Environment

This is an onsite, full-time position operating primarily during business hours. Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients to develop individualized therapy plans that address their specific functional goals and needs.
• Provide hands-on patient care, utilizing various therapeutic techniques and modalities to enhance recovery.
• Monitor patient progress through regular assessments and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises, techniques, and lifestyle modifications to support their rehabilitation journey.
• Utilize EMR systems, particularly WebPT, for accurate documentation of patient information and treatment protocols.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on the latest physical therapy practices and methodologies.
• Motivate patients throughout their recovery process, providing encouragement and support to enhance treatment adherence.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the improvement of clinical practices within the facility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily includes individuals recovering from sports injuries, surgical interventions, and musculoskeletal conditions. You will have the opportunity to work with diverse patients, from athletes seeking to return to their peak performance to seniors needing rehabilitation to enhance their mobility and independence. Your role will be crucial in helping each patient achieve their personal recovery goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Demonstrated proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities.
• Solid understanding of exercise prescription and rehabilitation strategies supported by current research.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
• Experience in sports rehabilitation and orthopedic care is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with EMR software, particularly WebPT, for effective patient documentation preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Empire Physical Therapist offers a competitive salary ranging between USD 80,000 and USD 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
