Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the mental and emotional well-being of clients.
- Create tailored treatment plans based on clients' individual needs, issues, and goals in collaboration with them.
- Facilitate individual therapy sessions for clients across various age groups while addressing a wide spectrum of mental health concerns.
- Provide couples therapy aimed at improving communication, resolving conflicts, and enhancing relational dynamics.
- Regularly review and adapt treatment plans to align with clients' progress and evolving requirements.
- Document all client interactions meticulously, including progress notes and treatment histories, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with healthcare professionals to offer holistic care that encompasses mental and physical health.
- Deliver crisis intervention to clients experiencing acute distress, ensuring their safety and emotional well-being.
- Stay informed on the latest advancements in marriage and family therapy, committing to ongoing professional development.
- Foster a secure and confidential virtual therapy environment, encouraging clients to feel safe sharing their thoughts and feelings.
- Advocate for clients, empowering them towards informed decision-making regarding their treatment plans.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a therapist within our Counseling Center, you will serve a wide-ranging clientele, including adolescents navigating the trials of adolescence, adults dealing with stressors of life changes, and couples striving to strengthen their relationships. The diverse backgrounds and experiences of our clients provide a rich tapestry of opportunities to apply your therapeutic skills in impactful ways.
Qualifications
- A Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is required.
- Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the State Board of Georgia.
- Demonstrable experience providing individual and/or couples therapy.
- Proficient writing and communication skills, including the ability to utilize electronic health record systems effectively.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in a therapeutic setting.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults.
- Strong ability to complete timely client assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans.
Compensation and Benefits
