We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mental Health Counselor, licensed as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW, to join our fully virtual team at Carilion Therapeutic Clinic. Work Environment

Our outpatient office infrastructure ensures that you are supported by a team of administrative professionals who manage patient scheduling, billing, and marketing, allowing you to focus solely on therapy.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based psychotherapy to adult clients, employing techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other established methodologies.
• Document clinical notes in a concise and thorough manner, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with organizational policies.
• Engage in regular supervision and consultation with peers to foster continual professional development and improve therapeutic practices.
• Actively participate in ongoing training sessions and workshops to stay updated on the latest advancements in therapeutic techniques and mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adult clients experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, stress management, and relationship issues. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele, adapting your therapeutic approaches to meet their unique cultural and individual needs. A strong emphasis will be placed on developing a trusting therapeutic relationship that empowers clients toward emotional resilience and recovery.

Qualifications

• A master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy from a regionally accredited university.
• Active licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LPC) in the state of New Jersey.
• Two or more years of direct experience providing clinical psychotherapy to adult populations.
• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing evidence-based practices, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
• Strong documentation skills to ensure accurate and thorough session notes.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary action from any licensing board.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with telehealth platforms and virtual care delivery.
• Familiarity with a variety of therapeutic modalities to address different client needs.
• Additional certifications in specialized areas of mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary in the range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
