Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough initial interviews and assessments to ascertain the client's needs and formulate personalized treatment plans.
- Utilize evidence-based approaches to provide ongoing evaluations through the synthesis of bio-psychosocial information gathered from clients, their families, and referral sources.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation that reflects current standards and methodologies in chemical dependency treatment, ensuring adherence to ethical and professional guidelines.
- Engage in regular interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss case progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and coordinate client care effectively.
- Develop and lead workshops or support groups for clients and their families, focusing on education about addiction and recovery strategies.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your work will primarily involve supporting individuals struggling with substance use disorders, including those from various cultural backgrounds and demographics. Our client population includes adolescents and adults seeking help for addiction as well as their families, who also require support and education throughout the recovery process. Your ability to empathetically relate to and understand the challenges faced by diverse populations will be key to fostering meaningful therapeutic relationships.
Qualifications
- A Master's Degree in Social Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
- Valid Washington State licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is necessary.
- At least two years of clinical experience is required, with a proven track record in therapy, particularly within a behavioral health or substance use treatment setting.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effective client interaction and documentation.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions and documentation is a must.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience working remotely or with teletherapy platforms is advantageous.
- Familiarity with various treatment modalities and a solid understanding of the mental health landscape specific to chemical dependency.
- Experience facilitating group therapy sessions or workshops is a plus.
